✦ Sentiment OverviewUpdated every month · Aug 19, 2026

Trading 212 maintains strong customer approval at 4.7/5 across 360,629 ratings with steady sentiment, while its NeoBase index stands at 92.2/100 (+0.3). However, a recent negative headline regarding crypto products offered without FCA approval creates a notable wedge between solid user satisfaction and emerging regulatory concerns. Media coverage otherwise positions the brand within UK retail-trading discussions, though the compliance report suggests reputational risk that customer ratings have not yet fully reflected.

Finance creators are one of the biggest reasons more people are investing today... and we don't get enough credit. Today, 26% of UK adults have a Stocks & Shares ISA, and 68% of UK savers say they plan to start investing within the next two years. That hasn't happened by accident. For many people, social media has become their first introduction to investing. Every day, millions are learning about investing on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube from creators who make it understandable, relatable and accessible. But education is only part of the story. Awareness gets people interested. Something else gets them to act. Platforms like Trading 212 have massively lowered the barriers to entry. You no longer need thousands of pounds, a stockbroker, or years of financial knowledge to get started. You can open a Stocks & Shares ISA in minutes and begin investing with just a few pounds. At the same time, the financial reality for young people has changed. House prices continue to outpace incomes, inflation has eroded the value of cash over time, and retirement feels less certain. For many people, investing no longer feels optional - it feels necessary. And investing has become impossible to ignore. The government is encouraging it through ISA policy, the media is talking about it, and of course, when markets are performing well, the media amplifies it even further. Investing has gone from a niche topic, to part of everyday conversation. No single factor explains the investing boom. It's the combination of education, accessibility, economic reality and greater awareness that's fundamentally changed how people think about investing. Finance creators didn't create the demand. But I do think we've helped millions of people understand investing and, more importantly, given them the confidence to take that first step. What's your take?
