The Norwegian session at Nordic Crypto Adoption Week is a wrap 🇳🇴 If you missed it, here are a few gems from the discussion on crypto ownership in Norway: Thuc Hoang (@thuchoang), @firiapp: Great to see that our branding efforts have been working - in communicating that crypto is safe and easy to invest in. There has never been so much conversation about crypto, stablecoins, and tokenisation in mainstream media. So even though the market has stagnated somewhat, there's also a natural shift after a strong period of growth. Stig Aleksander Kjos-Mathisen (@KjosMathisen), @nbxcom: Interesting to see that Norwegians prefer local Nordic platforms to the international ones, as we see from the data in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland... NBX is an issuer of a stablecoin and are working actively on payments with stablecoins. Stablecoins are the carbon of the new digital financial infrastructure. Marius Johansen, Skatteetaten: Those who hold the most in crypto are actually reporting it. It is mostly those who own lesser amounts of crypto - less than 50.000 NOK - who fail to report. In Norway, crypto is not prefilled in the tax systems, but we try to make it as easy as we can for citizens who own crypto. Torbjørn Bull Jenssen (@TorbjrnBullJens), @K33HQ: You can’t find a single politician in our Norwegian parliament who will stand up and speak out for crypto.
