No single person, inside or outside the country, can change what’s happening in Liberia without confronting the system issue head-on. If you want to change Liberia, you first have to understand how deep the problem goes. Getting Liberia to where it needs to be isn’t complicated, but it requires a different mindset of leadership — leadership that enforces rules with no exceptions, even when it’s personal. A strong country can’t run without a system. Even your home has rules. Liberia doesn’t. And that’s the root problem we have to fix. Some of us who go to Liberia to invest private capital and create jobs have no time to play around or talk politics. Take the capital city for example: there are countless jobs you can create there without asking the government for money. But we have people with degrees, no experience, and no knowledge about job creation. The system in the country is this: we give you a job because you have a degree, even if you have no experience. Our leaders need to understand something — I can’t discuss a million-dollar business with someone who only has a degree and no industry experience. I’ll think you’re joking. That’s how real investors look at things before putting money into a country. I’ll be hosting a free two-hour real estate conference in Liberia next month on how you can invest in real estate or buy any business without using your personal funds. Even though they have been together for a year and a half, Nick didn't become a big part of my life until 2025. They became a couple in February of last year, and once Mom felt like she really loved Nick, she had to introduce her little man (that's me). UKUSAMBA. This word irritates me because a lot of naive women misinterpret it. Many think ukusamba means bleaching, having extremely long nails, putting on a fake wig that makes you look three times your age, adding long eyelashes, ten layers of makeup and foundation, wearing borrowed clothes, and creating a fake lifestyle. That narrative has made many women believe beauty is about things that drain money instead of things that add value. When you ask many men what they want in a woman, many will tell you: “I love my woman natural.” That does not mean you should stop taking care of yourself. It means a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. A woman who bathes, looks presentable, has nicely tied or combed hair, and carries herself well. Even when you wear a wig, it should be a reasonable wig that complements you, not one that makes you look like you have lost yourself. You don't need long nails to prove that you are beautiful. Beauty is not in exaggerated things. Sometimes the things we call beauty are things that men don't even appreciate. Let me burst your bubbles, many women are dirty because of these trends. If you don't have a nanny and you have put on extremely long nails, how do you manage your children, how do you wash or clean your bums after using the toilet and how do you handle other responsibilities? Those nails are meant for events and special occasions, not exaggerated lengths that make daily life difficult. They can be short manageable and clean. And another thing that concerns me is doing all these things lashes, nails, expensive looks on somebody else's expense. All these to attract a gender that doesn't even care. You will tell when a woman is taking care just for herself, many do it for validation and to be picked. That is how delusional we have become. We have become extremists and forgotten one important thing: ask your man what he loves. A relationship is built on communication. Don't assume. Talk to each other. You need to understand what your partner loves, and your partner also needs to understand you. It is about mutual understanding, respect, and finding a balance. Many men are not asking for a fake image. They want you to be you.Bleaching and a fake lifestyle is not beauty.
