On the day of the event, EleBank's volunteer team, together with officiating guests and the seniors from Wong Tai Sin District, totaling 200 participants, joined in singing the national anthem to celebrate the HKSAR's 29th Anniversary. A 'Zongzi workshop and National Security Classroom' was held on that day. Elderly participants crafted healthy sago zongzi under the guidance of nutritionist, while enhancing their knowledge of national security. We also ordered 250 healthy zongzi from a local social enterprise, distributed by the charity to workshop participants and neighborhood residents — spreading care beyond the event.🫶 Our team also conducted an anti-scam talk for 150 seniors, covering telephone deceptions, phishing SMSs messages and the latest fraud cases and prevention tips. The Q&A session was lively and interactive, with seniors actively engaging and asking questions. 【花藝水晶球】這個聖誕，一起跳出框框 【Christmas Preserved Flower】This Christmas, Thinking Beyond the Box Together 今日，我哋同心光學校 10 位同學，聯同天星銀行嘅義工，一齊整咗聖誕花藝水晶球，用雙手、用創意迎接聖誕。 活動入面，每位同學都用自己嘅方式去創作。有人將花插喺水晶球入面，亦有人大膽將花插喺外面，令成個水晶球變得更加立體、有層次，完全跳出咗我哋原本嘅想像。 一班義工見到都話，同學仔嘅創意真係估佢唔到：「原來花可以插喺水晶球外面。」有義工分享，見到同學咁有創意，自己都忍唔住跟住一齊「跳出框框」，大家互相啟發、一齊嘗試，過程入面充滿驚喜。正正體現咗我哋 Art for All 嘅精神：「藝術係無對與錯。」唔需要跟足規則，只要敢試，就會有意想不到嘅驚喜。 心光學校嘅同學因為視力障礙，家人平時都會比較擔心，較少機會帶佢哋出街，亦少啲同外界接觸。有義工分享，一開始有同學對合作有啲抗拒，但其實感覺到佢內心係好想參與。義工慢慢畀時間、畀空間，佢開始投入，完成作品嘅同時，亦喺創作入面搵到成就感，仲開始主動同義工互動。 藝術，有時唔係為咗做得完美，而係畀人一個安全嘅空間，去嘗試、去被看見、去連結。而今日呢個小小嘅水晶球，裝住嘅，唔止係聖誕裝飾，仲有創意、勇氣，同人與人之間溫柔嘅交流。 Today, together with 10 students from Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired and volunteers from Airstar Bank, we created Christmas Preserved Flower —using our hands and creativity to welcome the festive season. Throughout the activity, every student expressed themselves in their own way. Some placed the flowers inside the snow globe, while others boldly arranged them on the outside, making the whole piece more three-dimensional and full of layers—completely beyond what we had imagined. The volunteers were genuinely surprised by the students’ creativity. “I would never have thought of placing the flowers outside the globe,” one volunteer shared. Seeing how creatively the students worked, the volunteers were inspired to step out of their own comfort zones too—trying new ideas together, learning from one another, and discovering unexpected joy along the way. This beautifully reflected the spirit of Art for All: there is no right or wrong in art. You don’t have to follow the rules—sometimes, simply daring to try leads to the most wonderful surprises. Many students from Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired have visual impairments, and their families often worry about their safety, so they have fewer opportunities to go out or interact with others. One volunteer shared that a student seemed hesitant to collaborate at first, but it was clear that deep down, they really wanted to take part. With time, patience, and space, the student gradually became more engaged. As the piece came together, they found a sense of achievement through creation and began to actively interact with the volunteers. Art is not always about perfection. Sometimes, it’s about creating a safe space—to try, to be seen, and to connect. And today, this small snow globe held more than just Christmas decorations; it carried creativity, courage, and gentle human connections.
