Salsa music filled Spirit Plaza, and so did a whole lot of Latino pride! Our Aliados ERG and the Detroit community showed up to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month for the fourth year with a block party that honors the Latino community's culture and stories right in the heart of the city. The event featured a live mariachi, dance performances, local art and sweet treats to keep the celebration going, including delicious paletas (popsicles) and pan dulce (sweet bread). It was a great way to celebrate the Latino culture with friends and community!

Team building can happen anywhere… but it is always more fun on a basketball court! A group of Ally employees recently had the opportunity to come together at the Henry Ford Pistons Performance Center in Detroit, MI to attend a skills, drills and scrimmage clinic led by the Pistons Academy coaching staff. The day also included exclusive access to the practice facility and a meet & greet with Detroit Pistons Legend and Eastern Michigan alum, Grant Long. Everyone agreed that it was a great day, from tip-off to the final buzzer!

Since January of this year I’ve been in dispute with Ally regarding my car loan. They’ve fraudulently screwed with my loan. Extensions they can’t prove, calculation errors they know are valid but they won’t fix them. Today I got on their live chat for one last effort to fix the discrepancy, get them to close my account as paid in full and resolve the issue at hand. They decided to try to play games and gaslight me into believing that somehow this is my fault. Their system miscalculating the number of payments is on them. So this week, I’ll be seeking an attorney. Instead of a multi billion dollar company doing the right thing knowing they’re at full profit, they chose this. I’ve never experienced something so insane before. What kind of finance company can’t count months? Incredible.
